How to Manually Update Plugins and Themes

Since we don’t currently have a automatic solution to updates plugins and themes, we recommend that you install this plugin to make the manual update easier:

To use it, first install and activate the plugin. Once activated, you can update any theme/plugin by simply uploading a .zip file.

How do I update a plugin?

1. Download the latest .zip file for the plugin.
2. Go to “Plugins”>“Add New.”
3. Click the “Upload Plugin” button at the top of the page.
4. Select the .zip file with the updated version of the plugin.
5. Click the “Install Now” button.
6. Click “Active” and that’s it.

How do I upgrade a theme?

1. Download the latest .zip file for the theme.
2. Go to “Appearance”>“Themes.”
3. Click the “Add New” button at the top of the page.
4. Click the “Upload Theme” button at the top of the page.
5. Select the .zip file with the updated version of the theme.
6. Click the “Install Now” button.
